A Heartfelt Thank You for Making the HEArtistic Project Launch & Anniversary Gala a Success!

The MedSmarter team is deeply grateful to everyone who came together to make our HEArtistic Project Launch & 10th Anniversary Benefit Gala Dinner an extraordinary success. Held this past spring in Atlanta, the event marked a pivotal milestone in our mission to transform healthcare through education, advocacy, and the healing power of art.

Don Mahmood, Dr. Untara Shaikh, and the Host Committee extend their sincerest appreciation to our esteemed guests, sponsors, partners, and the distinguished officials who honored us with their presence. We were especially privileged to have the support of Superior Court Judge Tracie Cason, who presented a proclamation from the City of Atlanta recognizing Don Mahmood’s outstanding contributions as a business and community leader. A special thanks also to Georgia State House Representative Robert Dawson for his heartfelt acknowledgment of Don Mahmood and Dr. Untara Shaikh’s impactful work with MedSmarter and The MedSmarter Foundation.

We are also immensely grateful to our inspiring keynote speakers—Dr. Peter Glegg, Dr. Gulshan Harjee, David Manuel, and Portia Bruner—for sharing their invaluable insights, as well as the talented artists who showcased their work, helping us bridge healthcare and creativity in profound ways.

With the momentum from this event, we’re excited to announce that artist submissions are now open for the upcoming HEArtistic Tour, which will bring impactful exhibitions across seven major counties in Georgia.
